Illusions of You

Just why— Why pretend? We never stood at one end. You hid your emotions, Drawing me into an imagination, Where it’s clear you don’t like me— But must you show hatred so openly? I’m trying to look toward tomorrow, To tell you how I feel, Yet the truth lingers— You were never there, It was only an illusion.
