It was once wise to invest in steel, yup, In days of yesteryear. Now, they say that fine art and gold are up. All things change with time, dear. Then, I'd scale the steepest mountain to reach That pinnacle of bliss. Yep, I would without pride, to you beseech - Anything for your kiss! 'Tis fine art in a frame - you as a girl In a picture, so old. Now, there's nothing I would not do, my pearl, To hear your laugh like gold!

I enjoyed the nostalgic feel of this poem. How creative to compare the pictured girl (your wife) as valuable as steel or gold. Nicely done...great Valentine's Day poem...just sayin' enjoy your evening, Sara

Thanks Sara. I was put in the mood after listening to this old song "For Your Love" recorded by Ed Townsend.
