I'Ll Not Take the Moon For Granted
At the end of day, when the sun sinks low
and my love whispers 'good night' in my ear
I see in his eyes, silver moonbeans aglow
and know all I'll ever need is with me here
It's a magical moment when I catch him staring
a look of want smoldering in eyes, hazel green
It leads to tender caresses and intimate sharing
and the moment he calls me, "Sweet colleen."
How deftly he brushes clouded skies away
In a rainstorm, he invites me to dance
We laugh like children, 'til it turns into foreplay
Emotions ablaze in a night of romance
I'll not take those silver moonbeams for granted
for their glow has a rival in my lover's eyes
Each night he guides us to a world, enchanted
until dawn softly colors the morning sunrise
