I'Ll Not Take the Moon For Granted

At the end of day, when the sun sinks low and my love whispers 'good night' in my ear I see in his eyes, silver moonbeans aglow and know all I'll ever need is with me here It's a magical moment when I catch him staring a look of want smoldering in eyes, hazel green It leads to tender caresses and intimate sharing and the moment he calls me, "Sweet colleen." How deftly he brushes clouded skies away In a rainstorm, he invites me to dance We laugh like children, 'til it turns into foreplay Emotions ablaze in a night of romance I'll not take those silver moonbeams for granted for their glow has a rival in my lover's eyes Each night he guides us to a world, enchanted until dawn softly colors the morning sunrise ~Inspired by 'I Took the Sun For Granted' a romantic interlude by Chris Green

Oh please do read Chris' poem. Thanks so much for always being supportive of me, Connie. Though I've been away for months at a time, I feel my drive to write has been spurred lately. Not sure why, but the why doesn't matter. It's nice to know that those (such as you) who've read me over the last 4 years are still willing to read my work and leave genial comments. Thank you.

Enchantingly beautiful Lin. I am so honored that my little musing inspired such a wonderful poem of love and desire. This captures every essence of a romantic interlude beneath the moons intoxicating beams.
