I'Ll Come Back Swinging

Many times I've tripped, even fell
Felt as though I've walked through Hell
I walked the flames with bare feet
Still I rise from the embers without defeat

I beat myself up day and night
Always over thinking my every plight
With every punch, every jab
I get back up shake off the bad

It's in my soul, I am a fighter
I only know how to be a survivor
My blood is thick, always pulsing
I refuse to give in to the struggles

Though sometimes my heart grows weary
It keeps on beating, keeping rhythm
My mind though sometimes confused
It keeps on thinking, always dreaming

I have only myself to believe in
So many others before have let me down
Though lonely sometimes I will always pull through
Even if it means standing isolated to hold my ground

So even if you see me descending in a scary fall
Never count me out, like the Phoenix I'll rise above it all
I'll dance happily within my flames of passion
I'll rise from the ashes as another creation
