Notes About The Poem

I'll Be Seeing You ( lyrics)

I'll be seeing you, In all the old familiar places, That this heart of mine embraces, All day and through.  In that small café, The park across the way, The children's carousel, The chestnut trees, the wishing well.  I'll be seeing you, In every lovely summer's day, In everything that's light and gay, I'll always think of you that way.  I'll find you in the morning sun, And when the night is new, I'll be looking at the moon, But I'll be seeing you.  I'll be seeing you, In every lovely summer's day, In everything that's light and gay, I'll always think of you that way.  I'll find you in the morning sun, And when the night is new, I'll be looking at the moon, But I'll be seeing you.

I'Ll Be Seeing You

I played Mother's favorite song, now it is mine, I played it till she took her last breath.

You are sweet, and you let the sadness in. The Chinese have sweet and sour cuisine, and you have sweet and sad poetry. What a kind heart you have to write like this.

Sweet arrangement. It was nice to see the word "gay" in it's original and proper context. This is a wonderful song and tribute to your Mother. Blessings 2U. Thomas

Thomas, thanks so much for the visit and the nice comment, I had to laugh about the gay thing, yes, in those day gay meant what it was meant to mean...

music touches us in so many ways....a fool will feel it is just a phase....but all the memories they bring to us....simply exist to strengthen the trust....that has been forged through the process of Life....even the saddest songs can help us through the strife....Beautiful as always bw....;)

This song is from the old movie by the same name, yes an old song, but the lyrics are so beautiful, I play this song every year on the day my Mother passed away at exactly the same time, 2pm ~
