If You Miss Arizona

If you miss Arizona that much,
It’s not best to write a poem,
The best thing is to take a plane ticket,
If California tempts you as before,
The best thing is to take a plane ticket.

O cross the Atlantic,
It’s better than reading children’s books,
Visiting Beverly Hills or Phoenix under the sun,
It’s better than writing a love song,
It’s better than painting sunflowers.

Just leave his big yellow chair,
Turn off your television, throw away your brush;
If you miss Arizona that much, tomorrow,
The best thing is to take a plane ticket,
Go To New York, Boston, or Chicago.

being in Az it caught my eye. I would miss it being from the east. Looking forward to Beverly Hills and Sedona someday. But instead of a plane I'll take a drive still so much more to see.

First hand experience of seeing a place is much better than watching it on the TV or reading about it ! A very sensible proposition. Enjoyed your poem dear yaan

haha, I like the way you changed the destinations at the end to other locations. Arizona is HOT but yes , everyplace is better to see it in person.

You can not always watch life by the side lines, sometimes you just have to see it with your own two eyes, and experience it first hand, I love your original write , its amazing, like you :)

thanks Evelyn, i travelled in Arizona, 28 years ago, i memorized a lot of things have a sweet week end
