If You Hurt I Hurt Too
To feel when a
friend feels pain
Has you feeling
such pain too
Friendship with
nothing to gain
You hurt what
he's gone through
To see a friend
with a smile
You smile too
that same day
A friendship you'd
walk a mile
You'd travel more
than halfway
To hear a friend
full of sorrow
Brings sorrow
to you inside
A friendship you
didn't borrow
There for them
you'd never hide
To see a friend
shed a tear
Has tears fall
down your face
Friendship will
last many years
And ones you
cannot replace
But to hear a
friend laugh out loud
Has you falling
down in laughter
Friendship which
you can be proud
In your life happily
forever and after
You see this friend
for what they are
You accept their
highs and lows
In night skies
they are your stars
Because they are
the friend you chose
This is an older poem but it was written for a dear friend who was in pain and hurting! I felt I needed to repost it because it seems they still hurt and I hurt too from Their pain!;)
