If They Came?

Up there
Above the blue yonder
Did you ever
Sit and ponder

Are there more
Just like us
Similar race
On their evolution bus

If there are
What like they be
Individuals
Like you and me

If they were, to come tomorrow
Would we glee, would we sorrow
What do you think they would make of us
Would they panic, would we fuss

Would they know where we are going
Are human actions, universe showing
Have they come to highlight this
Or are we heading for future bliss

What a thrill to meet new life
To iron the creases, banish the strife
Take the world on the evolution bus
Them and us

I believe we would be awfully small minded to think we are the only intelligent life force in this world. Excellent though provoking write James.

I think they joined our evolutionary bus long ago, James, and together we have been riding for millennia. Remember, Neanderthals and Cro Magnons had no DNA in common. The "missing link" had to come from somewhere else if you believe in evolution. I'm a frequent rider on that bus. Love, carolyn
