If There Was No Poetry
No more poetry,
say it's not so.
How do I live not writing any more,
no more words and stories to express.
No more rhymes,
to pass my time.
How about acrostic,
running down the side.
Free verse loved by all,
it is now all gone.
No more poetry,
say it's not so.
All the stories,
that have been told.
The hearts won and lost,
all done for love.
The laughs and humor,
until we cried.
Now what,
we must just sigh.
