As I write through the pain, this pen might as well be a razor blade This sheet is sharper than a million paper cuts could have ever made Thoughts dropping by the second faster than a guillotine's slayed If Poe was my best friend, I'm sure he'd find these sentiments relayed Rather than a fitting end, I'll just listen to the saddest songs ever played

It's alright to feel the sadness when one loses a close friend and loved one, but only for awhile. Focusing on the sadness too long can lead to mistakes in a person's life. Thank you for the overwhelmingly pleasant compliment regarding my monorhymes! A fellow writer on this medium pointed out the fact that I incorrectly label my work and that a great deal of it is in fact monorhyme a compliment to which I have ran with and truly enjoy the form. Respectfully A.S.

I'm all right Anaya. Just very sad over the loss of a fiery friend. Someone to whom I shared a great deal. A larger part of myself then I normally give up. Good and dark, with a crack that lets the light in (die hard Leonard Cohen fan here can’t you tell) enjoyed this very much. I picture Poe and Cohen having tea together in poet’s heaven. No stranger to suicidal ideation but still kicking (and punching) ;), Write on dear poet! xomo

I am so sorry about your friend, such a sadness to lose a friend in such a way, I can’t help but think that their’s and your own sadness kind of become one and the same in a way, but only you are left to feel it. Virtual hugs your way.
