If Only I Loved Myself

She looked at my face
Searching for a smile
There's no hint of joy
Lonely in my eyes
Filled with my heartache

My dreams broken
My lover left
Walking away
Leaving me here

Who could love
Broken me
When I loathed

Myself
My sad

Self

First time writing this form, hopefully got it right.

No worries this is an empathic excercise not something I am going through.
