If Only I Could

If only I could spread my wings And soar up high above To travel far and wide On a journey filled with love I wish you would come with me To see the world in all its glory From the mountains to the valleys It's a never-ending story But alas, I am grounded My feet stuck to the ground With limited abilities, My dreams become unbound If only I could hop a plane And fly across the globe To see new sights and cultures And witness nature's robe I wish you would accompany me On this venture of a lifetime We would explore and discover The beauty that is divine But I am tethered to this earth With no way to take flight My dreams exist in my mind And remain out of sight So if only I could, I would If I had the strength I'd take you on a journey To go to any length But for now, dear friend, I wish you all the very best May all your dreams become a reality And life be filled with happiness.
