If Only
If only I could find someone like him,
that I would fall head over heals in love with,
and want to spend the rest of my life with.
If only I could be in his arms longer,
where I know I would feel safe and secure,
and to know that I would be okay.
If only I could lay next to him longer,
with my head resting upon his chest,
just listening to his heart race like mine.
If only I could look into his soft eyes,
just to watch them glow in the candle light,
as they sparkle just like mine would.
If only I could kiss his soft and tender lips,
and just think to myself I was right,
that his kisses are just perfect.
If only I could hear him say I love you,
and make me go weak in the knees and cry,
as I would look at him and whisper,
if only it wasn't just a dream.
