If Love

If love were measured
 in droplets of time
 seconds would beat
 minutes would fly
 revealing its force
 strobing by

If love could be captured
 trapped or confined
 then nothing's divine
 holy or kind

If love were a flower
 a bird or a song
 I'd listen intently
 all day long.

If love has a voice
 a smell or a touch
 I've found it in you
 You fill my cup
