If Immortality Reigned

My dearest, if immortality reigned
Would you strive, strive and ask something more
No choice given, would you leave me pained
The things I think at night shake my very core
We shudder and shake as if our pasts wake
You're oh so sweet love, I do hope to keep
My love for you my dear will never be fake
I fear you may be of torn soul, you weep
Don't be afraid for I shall carry us both along
The immortal gift shall be our wild story
I tell you with true affection, we're strong
We together shall gain perfect glory
Among mortals, the immortal is born
We are the ones they say we're full of scorn
