Gambling with the hope that comes
To those who know His love, His grace, His mercy –
Risking the heart, the soul, the wonder
Of a love that came to us through His cross,
His gentle sigh, embracing hearts with kindness,
Music poured out on those who know Him
As the love who inspires faith, saving faith, faith
That is the answer to erasing dark’s shadowy past
Gambling with the faith that is living, a living faith
Giving hope when in pain, giving joy – instead of chancing
Playing with the fears, the tears, through the years…
Gambling with the heart, the soul – the meaning of life,
Life built on a hope of His forever, His life, His paradise
Heaven, where I’ll see Him, face to face… experience His
Presence in such an amazing way – experience the joy
That comes to the heart who believes, the heart who He brings
Into the presence of God’s endless peace, the beautiful
That whispers light to the dark, flows gentle through the heart,
Erases the worries that keep a heart from knowing what it is…
To hear His voice in the inkling of a tear…
Gambling with the moments, wagering that this sin
Can never destroy our souls – even though it surely can.
Listen to His voice, His gentleness never fades – He is alive
And He is more than a risk, a bet, a chance… He is the second
Chance, the reassurance, the reason, the hope – He is the answer
Teaching me that, even when I doubt, because He lives I can know
There is love that lives and instills a courage, a faith in His grace,
His always, His blessings, forever alive inside those who know Him
As the One who redeems, the One who brings peace, the One
Who is everything to the soul who can see – with Him,
There is no reason to gamble or risk anything…
With Him, there is no risk – you can stake your life on this promise…
Jesus is alive and because of this, we’re forever His,
Saved by the love that He is, the love that He left behind,
Through the Holy Spirit – His Spirit, we can know the wonder a hope
That never wagers because He is the only risk worth taking!
Jesus is God’s blessing, meant to save souls from every sin, every doubt,
The fires of hell and the darkness of fear… thanks to Him,
We can know what it means to believe without suspicion – He is forever
And HE IS THE REASON that my heart can see through the sins that abound,
Into the light that silences the desperation, erases all fear and brings consolation
Because He is faithful and I am so grateful to know this love that lives inside,
Always alive because He resides there, where He stirs me to believing
Forever and always, He is with me. He completes me – He is the reason
I never have to risk my soul… With Him, there is no gamble in letting go of fear,
While holding onto the meaning of life… He is the wisdom that will take me…
From here to eternal paradise!
