If I Could
If I could I would give you
the world.
Everything you ever wanted...
you would have.
You would never want for anything
for the rest of your life.
You would always be happy...
and respected.
If I could I would promise you any
promise that I could make.
I would promise that I could be the
old me.... the me you fell in love with.
Someone whom never complains
or whines.
If I could I would tell you our life together
would be perfect.... but nothing ever is.
But I do love you with every beat of my
heart.... and I can promise you that will
never change.
