If Day Was God
If DAY was GOD
What have yew done this DAY little man pray tell us just what have yew
accomplished at all. Tell us all in your own words just what has been done that
you think deserved. Eye won. A great swelling list of accomplishments free made
in ernest for everyone to see. So many poems to add to my lists.
More things to do than a fish drinking water leaning far to the right as he fights
the trawlers net in combat with the fisherman’s line as he misses the boat hook
and ties up more time. Four poems today we can now count this one add it to
glory when done there is no rule of combat to account for the bruises on my
mind. This day is not even done one more hour of fun time until supper the
chores must come first then the play. All of this hurry in the just one more day
before holiday come. Who were you perhaps just another one
if Day was GOD.
