If I Didnt Think What I Think, Heres What Id Think
IF I DIDN’T THINK WHAT I THINK, HERE’S WHAT I’D THINK
In general I think the world is not ideal -
It’s full of loser guys who shiftlessly lounge about
Drinking beer and smoking and watching women work.
If it’s not loafers wearing loafers or gutless beer-guts,
Then it’s the state of inequality which is rampant everywhere:
Three rich fat cats and a hundred thousand skinny kittens;
Three whites managing and a million browns toiling;
Three armed thugs in uniform holding back unfree crowds;
Is it just me, or can others see this topsy-turvy world?
If I didn’t think what I think, here’s what I’d think.. . .
That the world is a lovely place exactly the way God intended it;
That I should be in church daily, thankful for all the blessings;
That I should be glad that it’s them and not me;
That my brain is working perfectly and my eyes are seeing;
That there is very little which can be done to alter the inequality;
That I should shut up and go home and open another suds -
. . . But I’d be wrong.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . … . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
