If
If clothes make the man,
a fig leaf did not do a lot for Adam,
who, in a state of undress,
had no choice of madam.
With no one else to impress,
take it or leave it,

and she was Eve.
If he was, 'first come, first served',
also, 'he who laughs last',
he didn't have much to chuckle about,
after he became an Eden outcast.
