Margarita Lillico Poet Limerick

Identity

Millennials posting public outcry -
Identity crisis peaked all time high!
Once selfie is in place, 
Then photoshop the face - 
It's now iCloud clear: Me, Myself and I. 

The question is: what about mom and dad?! 
Survived as who they were and not too bad. 
They didn't have a clue,
But if they only knew -
Lived unidentified, so very sad!

A hot topic for me as well and have a poem called A Question of identity. 70 years life experience tells me the issue of identity is destroying more people more than ever and poetry is one medium that can help combat it as poetry makes people think a bit deeper in a meaningful way.
