Icy Fingers Are Dancing

Icy fingers are dancing across the lawn In sparkly costumes of winter’s fey, As a dark night is slowly withdrawn Icy fingers are dancing across the lawn Enjoying soft light of an early dawn While shadows recede and melt away Icy fingers are dancing across the lawn In sparkly costumes of winter’s fey.

Icy fingers not only dance across the lawn but also across the poetic page in your wonderfully rhythmic lines. An enchanting Triolet, Milt, full of expressive and vivid imagery. Beautiful! Warmest wishes, my friend.. ~Susan

Milt, this is as fine a Triolet as I've ever read. Never sell yourself short on your talent, or your fortitude to set things right.

Your facility at these things always makes me envious! We, too, had our first dusting of snow last night. Hope that's it for the entire winter! / Maurice

Maurice, me, too! Do you think I'm not envious of so many fine writers on this site, you included? I marvel at the enormous talent here.

We had a gentle dusting of snow last night so this is quite appropriate for my look out the window read. Nicely done Milton and with the (imho) ever tricky triolet

A smashing write, Milt, but I’ll echo Tom’s sentiment… it’s best viewed from the warmer side of one’s window. Terry

Definitely. And, boy, was it ever cold here yesterday. I think we're still hovering around or a bit below freezing!
