Ice Cream Please
It's not always good for me.
Sometimes, it is forbidden.
A little dab will often do me,
but I keep reaching for more.
I have a strong preference for home-made creams.
And once ice cream has become ice cream, you can
put away all the candy, cookies, and strawberries.
I desire nothing else to be added to my ice cream.
Well, with one exception. Consider it 'your calling'
to serve me up with plenty of walnuts and pecans.
I must confess that I'm a very nutty guy. Also, a cup
or a dish is much more preferred than cones.
Sure, the hot afternoon is a great time for ice cream,
but I prefer the nights. I suspect that for most of us,
there is a strong gravitational pull toward ice cream during
the Summer, but for me, ice cream is good all four seasons.
Whether being enjoyed while reading, watching
television, during a friendly chat with my wife,
or simply nothing at all, ice cream is a
tongue-licking good treat all the time.
