I Write Because
I WRITE BECAUSE
If there's someone who reads my lines,
the scriptures that I quote.
If question, or accept new thoughts,
pray poems ... give them hope.
Hope, to victims of drug abuse,
child abuse, neglect, rape.
To those due to pigment of skin,
centuries ... victims of hate.
Comfort, to those who've made choices,
forever they regret.
Abortions, lives killed in action,
sins ... pray someday forget.
Hope, to all those whose lives' shattered,
and can't get past the pain.
Whose stress, plus just daily living,
makes efforts ... feel in vain.
Scriptures, the basis of conclusions,
Bible Topics researched.
Many overturned teachings, that
in youth ... I learned in church.
If there is anyone who reads,
thoughts opposite to their own.
Bible concordance confirms God's
truths, as if by Him ... they're shown.
Only want to share Bible truths,
with meek hearts, opened wide.
To aid them in discovering,
"New Truths" ... I found inside.
Hope they will know I write because,
entirely to God's praise.
That I have offered trust in God,
behind each thought ... and phrase.
