I WISH I WAS A PUSSY CAT
I wish I was a pussy cat
with silky soft shiny fur,
I’d find the warmest place to sit
and lick my fur clean, then purr
I’d have free board and lodging
guaranteed to have two meals a day,
In wet weather I wouldn’t go outside
I’d have to use my indoor litter tray
My life would be very comfortable
with my owners in the palm of my paw,
I’d brush on his legs for dry fishy treats
(In the kitchen, his wife would give more)
In the evening humans sit and relax
the male would watch sport on the tv,
I’d eye the ball if he’s watching snooker
he’d stroke my fur whilst I doze on his knee
At night time I’d go out hunting
in the morning folks would find
the head and entrails of a mouse
I’d always leave those bits behind!
Of course there would be some issues
one day I’d get carted off to see the vet,
who’d remove my reproductive organs
but they’ve not done that evil deed yet!
