I Wish I Was

I wish I was a horse, said man
  So man went ahead and invented a car.

I wish I was a bird, said man
  So man went ahead and invented a plane. 

I wish I was a brain, said man
  So man went ahead and created IBM, UNIVAC, APPLE, inventing
  mainframes and minis and micro-minies and PCs and desktops and
  laptops and notebooks and tablets and I-pads and smartphones and AI and...
  
I wish I still had something I wish I was, said man
  So he lay down on his pillow and drifted off and dreamed...
