I Wish-
...My heart perceived your treacherous smiles
Or unmasked your alluringly camouflaged eyes
Or your face remained buried in a myriad of guise.
But this is Life: you fall in a trap; in lies it’s shrouded
By the dulcet tones and sparkling eyes, you’re hypnotized;
Faces you encounter shape your reality & can’t be avoided
I wish I saw your true face
Now my love, I can’t replace
And the pain, I can never erase
