Notes About The Poem

Inspired by Biblical verses: 

Matthew 7:7-8

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.…"

Psalm 37:4
Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Matthew 21:22
If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.

I Will Seek You First

I WILL SEEK YOU FIRST

I love to love Father God
though I experienced lots of heartaches 
I still yearn for that true love 
to knock unto my door's heart...

You are all powerful and Holy
and maybe before even this world began 
You, Father God don't need us no more, humans
Yet, it is because of love 
that You made us and this world.
And so, I believe so long as someone believe in love
someday soon love will pay a visit and dwell

Heartaches cloud paths but
by learning to forgive and to forget
to move on and then to let go
such will welcome the blossoms of love

Above all, I believe You are the greatest author 
of love stories that have happy ever after endings
I believe it is because of Your presence
in the relationship of these couples
that they indeed, remain committed to their vows
Relationships aren't always a color of red
sometimes it is tainted by black and blue hues. . .

Hear my prayer, Father God 
that to those who yearns for love
may they find what their looking for by first
finding You first, more than a partner is.

Father God, if You ever wrote my love story soon...
I pray humbly for Your guidance 
I pray that You walk with me-- us
I pray that You give me-- us, strength 
I pray for Your blessing
I pray for Your wisdom...
I pray for Your Holy Spirit...

I have read a lot of times that
"falling in love is so easy but staying in love is so special"
and so, I so want that my love story will be special.
And I know it will be because I asked You for this.

I remember so well Your love letters on us-- Your people
that if we ask, it will be given to us
If we seek, we will find
If we knock, door's will be opened for us.
As I will delight in Your Holy Name
And pray sincerely and wholeheartedly
You will give the desires of my heart.

Love is a big responsibility; it has to be kept alight otherwise it is so easy to lose it again. Very heartfelt and filled with love for Him with hope and longing for a wonderful relationship blessed by Him. Remember to be sure to apply one of the most challenging aspects of your relationship with our Father -to "wait" on Him. He is never in a hurry no matter how hard we pray.
