I Will Love You

I will love you, my bird, Until you become tired, Until you say in grief, 'Let me love you and sleep.' You will fall asleep then On my heart half-broken. In your dream you will find My love before, behind. When you open your eye, You will see earth and sky Full of my love, pure, fine, Soft as dew and divine. I will love you, my bird Until you say, 'Tired! Tired! '
