I Will Follow

I Will Follow A mirage in my desert of loneliness A ray of sunshine through the clouds A breath of air to a man who’s dieing An angel to a man that drowned You’re a map to a man that’s lost As familiar only came in round You’re the banquet in this starving mans dream And the wine that will wash it down When the sun, finally shines, after the rain The colors start to shine, wash away the pain You’re the eye of the storm when I am sad You’re the mouth to my river of dreams A cool breeze on a hot summers day A lighthouse on a stormy sea You’re the smile on my face when I dream at night You’re the wind that’s filling my sails You’re the prize I’ll find at the finish line I’m winning either heads or tails When the sun, finally shines, after the rain The colors start to shine, wash away the pain I will follow your rainbow Across my darkened sky I will follow my love for you With the hope that you’ll be mine I will follow your rainbow In search of your heart of gold I will follow my love for you Until the end When the sun, finally shines After the rain © 1995 Jeffrey Spencer
