I Will Fly

I gazed with envy at a bird As it flip flops and disappeared Into the sunny deep blue sky I believe one day I will fly I have no doubt that the day will come When gravity I’ll overcome I know some may think I’m crazy Or may find my vision hazy Like a hawk, I will mount up high Till I elude the human eye I will do it without the wind I will do it without two wings Then other men I will inspire And hope to fly, they too aspire My walking days will be my past The sky will be my home at last.
