what's this insanity
we're living in a nightmare
that can't be true
i'm dreaming ~ it just can't be
why the chaos
why the hate
can't we just shake hands
make peace and get along
i tell myself that
reason will prevail
but as each day rolls by
the rift gets deeper
the tally is horrendous
and leaves me breathless
i wonder how bad it has to get
before it will get better
