I want to be a the man in a white hat
Sitting in the Floridita bar
Sipping mojitos
And flirting with the stars
Now I haven’t a hat
Nor any fancy lines
I don’t live in Cuba
No matter I am drunk on wine
So I sit and stew
The answer to life
Of this I am sure
Is John Wulfs’ hat, as I head out the door
Why I’d have smile a mile long
This hat would give me all my charm
As the ladies I try to disarm
In the Floridita Bar, on the Island of Spanish charm
For full disclosure, yes I have sat in this very bar, all be it without his hat.
I may not write like Hemingway, but we had other things in common.
