I want to be a the man in a white hat Sitting in the Floridita bar Sipping mojitos And flirting with the stars Now I haven’t a hat Nor any fancy lines I don’t live in Cuba No matter I am drunk on wine So I sit and stew The answer to life Of this I am sure Is John Wulfs’ hat, as I head out the door Why I’d have smile a mile long This hat would give me all my charm As the ladies I try to disarm In the Floridita Bar, on the Island of Spanish charm For full disclosure, yes I have sat in this very bar, all be it without his hat. I may not write like Hemingway, but we had other things in common.

Saw this before but failed to comment. Apparently you have more things in common. It's not the man's legendary ego, though. This is a charming write. One that fosters camaraderie and friendship. Good one Arthur

I take my hat off to you, Arthur (not that I have one!); but I have a few caps which I wear when I go on the beach. // paul

Hmm. John's hat would be the perfect accessory to this Cuban bar. I'm sure you were quite charming without it though.
