I Want It All

I WANT IT ALL
SO I DON’T
FEEL SO SMALL
THERE SEEMS SO MUCH
BUT NOT ENOUGH

MY FRIENDS
WHOM
I HAVE A LOT
HAVE A LOT
BUT
NOT IT ALL
ALSO WANT IT ALL
NOT TO BE SMALL

MY TIME IS
ALSO NOT ENOUGH
TO USE IT ALL TO SHOP
AND TO BUY NEW STUFF
BUT TO MANY OF US
LIFE IS STUFF
AND THAT IS ALL
IF YOU DON’T WANT
TO BE SMALL

MY APARTMENT IS
SMALL
AND ALL DOES NOT FIT
MY CLOSETS ARE FULL
AND MY STORAGE HAS QUIT
ONCE
FORCING ME
TO CHOOSE
BETWEEN A SMALL ROBOTIC ICE CREAM MACHINE
AND
DIGITALLY LIT TENNIS SHOES
WHAT A PREDICAMENT

SO MANY SIZES
SO MANY SHAPES
SO MANY COLORS
SO MANY FACES
SO LITTLE ROOM
SO LITTLE TIME
IT
DOESN'T SEEM FAIR
AND IT
DOESN’T EVEN RHYME

LIFE IS TOUGH
IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE SMALL
IT’S HARD TO KEEP UP
WITH SMALL FRIENDS
LARGE FRIENDS
FAMILY
YOURSELF
SOCIETY
AND ALL
