I Wait
Beneath a leaf I cling changing- waiting,
sensing a new journey for me this day;
I fold my wings and dream, and dream, and dream,
a thing so ugly- is what I am now.
I need some peace, tranquility, some rest-
The grave I think calls me. "Come sleep my love,
just lay in green, in peace with bird's soft song;
gone care, gone pain, gone grief, gone tears." - NEVER !
So deep inside I wait, transform- I wait,
silence, stillness within . . . I sleep and then;
my wings unfold at dawn- I fly away,
a girl with wings so beautiful ~•~ this day.
