I Think I'll Go AWOL

    Poor me
      It’s plain to see
    My poetry’s flat
      flat as can be

    I think I’ll go awol
      a bit after nightfall
    Silence my critics ~
      no end to it all

Always witty or lighthearted - an excellent way to step back and reset gw. I believe I've tripped over your "flat" poetry a time or two...they poke right out at me. Keep on keepin' on - disregard any naysayers.:)

...you'll be in the guard house scribbling them on the back of napkins and TP...floating them out the window as tiny airplanes

John, you are the recipe and remedy for whatever ails me. Appreciate your uncanny sense of humor. May it never go back in the can. Hmm. That didn't come out quite right, did it... Oh, bother. ~ Winnie the Poo
