I the Undersigned

The concrete we walk upon The rock face we just climbed It’s all just solidified dust That somehow found design The grass in meadows below The trees in forests behind It’s all just carbon atoms That somehow recombined The water in our oceans The oxygen our lungs refine It’s all just gaseous elements That’s somehow in decline The space in our cosmos The conscience in our minds It’s all just part of being alive That somehow dies over time The belief in redemption The heaven we wish to find It’s all just hopes and prayers That somehow this poem is blind. Dust, carbon items, gaseous elements, what an interesting prelude to the concept of soul. Hmmmmm. I am pondering this one. A clever contrast that surprisingly works.

I go on these soul searching trips now and again Caren, don’t we all, I try so hard to square the circle, or circle the square, Sometimes get satisfaction most of the time don’t, cheers David

Wow, thanks Linda, reading back over the poem it does have that searching Floyd quality to it, wonder if Gilmour be interested, he can have it for free, be an honor, cheers David
