I Strum My Guitar

A dog barks in the distance A child runs across the yard A man walks across a driveway And sits down in his car He plays a song of yesteryear And slowly drives away Another day So many things I need to say A paino and guitar sit in a shadowed room As life marches onward And you So far So far away Dredging through another day So far So far away I pause to look A flower sways A light English rain Another season One last day Turning back I strum my guitar

Well written. You find solace in your guitar and music. I play mandolin and it has the same effect for me.

I like this write. I can relate because I also play guitar (but far from being a professional). You also speak poetically about everyday things like barking dogs and driving in cars. Well done, Rick /// Kudos
