I Stand In Prayer
I stand before you, I pause, I halt,
and lay bare my very soul, Lord,
I have been humbled, been saved,
blessed with a new song in my heart.
I have faced the angel of death,
with no fear for you held my hand,
my lighthouse, my true north star,
my light that shines from within.
Strong, bright and clear for all eternity,
beauty dwells not of face, hair or body,
but of soul, the beauty resides within,
and like a beacon leads the way.
