I Sense My Essence

I think it all would be a little
less meaningful
if the clouds
and the trees,
and the beasts,
and you, and me
were all just sculpted
like cosmic play-dough.
Does a child
assign meaning
and destiny
and truth
to his ugly, dull figurines?
