Cancel my doubts, my fears and worries, All the anxieties that keep my soul struggling. Cancel my darkness, my dread and despair, All the sad things that leave me feeling less steady. Cancel my anger, my loathing and disgust, All the aversions that tell my soul it needs to trust. Cancel my arguments for sin that I can’t refuse, All the reasons I give myself for allowing corruption. Cancel my depression, my misery and dejection, All the hopelessness that aches like lost direction. Cancel it all, sweet Lord… cancel all my offenses, So that I can see the truth… You are God’s perfection. You are the love that lasts through the dismal moments. You are the answer to my doubts even when I’m ambiguous. You are the relief that comes into my heart when I panic. You are the gentle grace that consumes my soul when I’m sad. You are the miracle that brings my life its rest. You are the One I believe when everyone seems to be deceived. You are the kindness, the promise, the stirring of my light. You are the answer for every prayer I’ve known. You are the blessing God sent when He sent You into the world. You are the Savior of my soul, my peace and my hope. You are the friend I can come to when I can’t find my heart. You are the whisper of light flowing softly through the shadows. You are the breath of peace that sighs sincerity through me. Cancel all my bad, dear Lord and allow me to see… With You, the best is yet to come. With You, I have the brightest SON – so I can see!
