I Saw a Robin Today
I saw a robin today and hope swelled in my chest
I wondered all winter where they had been hiding,
These harbingers of spring with tangerine breast.
I saw a robin today and hope swelled in my chest
Immediately I forgot my troubles, realized I’m blessed
The ground is wet, rich with earthworms providing,
I saw a robin today and hope swelled in my chest
I wondered all winter where they had been hiding.
