Notes About The Poem

I Saw a Beauty

A demigoddess passed
on the other side of the street.
I stopped and gazed astounded.
What is a rosebud compared
to this ethereal beauty?

Delicate contours adorned her mien,
grace exuded from her every pore,
an ecstasy that made you hunger,
a perfect flow of effulgent nature,
an enthralling fairy alive in high street,
spreading magic in a drab environment,
a breath of fresh country air
in a polluted atmosphere of a crowded town.

Graciously she moved on,
turned a sharp corner.
I lost her forever.
Who cares, I thought.
But I understood
why grapes are sour!

What a fube piece this is Victor. This isn't a common occurrance. Once in a blue moon one will see someone so rare that they are taken with this scene. Excellent. God Bless, JB

I've had that kind of moment once or twice. It's a feeling that stops you from breathing, and when it's passed you're left wondering 'what if.'
