I Remain

 I remain…

I remain…
What is this cane? What is this pain? I remain.
Within my house, mirrors complain; I remain.
My spring gone by, summer was dry, and now what?
The winter cold, my life disdain, I remain.
The sounds are dim, the sight is gone, the grey hair.
Nothing feels right; crying like rain, I remain.
My nights veil fear; the end is near, so is death.
Within each step, a major strain I remain.
What is this life? Suddenly changed, mere lies.
The things I loved never sustain, I remain.
My youth is gone; the thing is left is called pain.
The life of pain is so mundane, I remain.
Nothing seems real, bitterness reveals, and so
What else can do? If you explain! I remain.
Tell me “Haloo” from this life, what should I seek?
It’s only love that will remain; I remain.

Pashang, your Ghazal is sad and lovely. One day your happy and full of life and the next the mirror magically makes you old.

Congrats Pashang! Your soul is very melancholic, and it shows through your writing. Getting older, doubts linger ... and you wrote it with practically perfect flow. "In this house, mirrors complain" ... this line was simultaneously humorous as well as sad ... sounds much like Life.

Thank you Cherl, did you know that if you turn the number "7", 120 degrees clock wise, it turns to almost a "V" if you turn to 180 degrees clock wise it becomes "L", if you go 270 degrees it turns to " ?" which is an IPA vowel for a half way between an open and closed tongue !!! cheers

Thanks DT, I unblocked myself so I can thank you. It took me a couple of days. Silent one helped me... Only you know about love and gentleness. Thank you
