I Never Thought...

I never thought our marriage would end. You were my lover, my best friend. I tried to have faith and remain strong, But along the way too much went wrong. Everything you told me was a lie, It never bothered you to see me cry. I wanted to see you grow up and be a man, But now thinking about it, I'm not sure you can. I gave you all I had inside of me. When all you wanted was to be free. Well, now you can have your new, wonderful life. Forget about me, forget I was ever your wife. I will get through everything, you will see. I understand now this is the way it should be. I will keep on moving right along, Until I find the place where I belong. I no longer care about what you do. Because there no longer is a place in my heart for you.
