I Never Said Goodbye

I never said goodbye the day you went away Goodbye was just a word that my heart couldn’t say But my world fell apart on that dark, dismal day For forty years we had been wed, We were children when we met And though you had to go on ahead, My heart will not forget You promised you'd always be with me That we would never part And so I keep you my darling Nestled deep within my heart Copyright©2004 Beatrice Boyle (All rights reserved)
