~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’ve often heard it said, “Christmas time … It is a spirit, a beautiful feeling, the nature… Of hope, faith and love – soothing as a rhyme!” I’ve often listened to that old, old story… How the angels and wise men gathered to worship, The light, the wonder, the Savior from glory. I’ve often felt the joy that comes from knowing… The light of the world, the Christmas wonder, The amazing love that just keeps on glowing. I’ve often seen the reflection of His spirit… Shining in the eyes of those who believe Him, Souls who know the Word when they hear it! I’ve often been in awe of the peace He brings… With His gentle grace, His abiding love and faith, The many Christmas tunes that each believer sings. I’ve often lost my heart to the wonder of a star, Those who reflect the meaning of love so amazing, Echoing love who shines bright, whether near or far. I’ve often yearned to tell the world about His grace, And, as Christmas nears, I have this chance to say… Leave the dark of night to feel the joy of His embrace. I’ve often prayed for God to bring us His love, Hungry for the warmth of His gentle care, Knowing my prayers were answered from above… When He came down to us, born of a virgin, Offering us hope that His love would save, changing us so much it felt like He was our hearts surgeon. I’ve often craved a love this amazing, Love so alive, love that could save me, heart and soul, Love that is worthy of all my life spent praising… Oh, dear Jesus… I’m praising You at Christmas! I’m praising the love who frees us! I’m praising because You hear, You’re here and I always need You near!
