I Need God
Without you, I am lifeless; With you, I am alive
Without you, I am breathless; With you, I inhale, exhale
Without you, I am hapless and helpless; With you, I help others
Without you, I care less for others; With you, I reach out to others
Without you, I'd be an empty shell, drifting alone like a ship without a sail,
headed to a place only God can tell, perhaps a place of no gusty gales.
Without you, I am baseless; With you, I am rock solid
Without you, I cannot; But with you, I surely can
Without you, I am faceless; With you, my name is on your hand.*
With you, I'm loved and valued; Without you, I'm poor and needy
Without you, I am aimless and withdrawn With you, I have a plan and a purpose
Without you, I am Homeless With you, I am not Fatherless
Because of you, I need not roam Because of you, I have a home
Without you, I am restless With you, I am at peace
Without you, I am useless With you, I am useful
Without you, I am undesired and worthless
Because of you, I am desired and prized
With you, I am rich and needed
Without you, I am weak, torn, and worn
With you, I move mountains
Lord, my need for you is endless
