I Move On

Rose petals pinching my skin,
Bruised brain beaten and defeated,
Hollow heart haunted by melancholic memories,
I move on, I move on and I move on.
Life longing for my will to live,
I float along,
Following my rhythm,
Singing my song.

My song of life and my absurd behaviour,
Crying, laughter, anger, love and fervour.
Kindness clinging closer in my veins,
Peace palpating through my heart.
I move on, I move on and I move on.
I float along,
Following my rhythm,
Singing my song.

Carrying my wounds like a winning warrior,
I move on, I move on and I move on,
I float along,
Following my rhythm,
Singing my song.

Dearest Anne, moving on is the best option sometimes, especially when the emotions tug so deeply at the heart. Your thoughts always caress gently around me. I feel every word and this is almost like a song. My best to you, my dear friend. Hugs, Brandy

A winning warrioress carries her scars yet heals her wound by moving slowly into the light, dear poetess. Sing your song, and live life full forevermore sweet Anne. Blessings

Oh, yes, the pained caterpillar poet is now a butterfly holding golden ink. Such imagery - exquisite. Pain grows our depth and it shows in our poems. Excellent free verse, expression is explosive!

Movement is a sign of life. Stagnation is death. Despite rising currents, keep moving. We are a compound mixture of joy, pain, bitterness and despair. At one time one emotion may be predominant. Soon another emotion may take its place. That's life. So keep moving. The repetition of certain lines gives an added effect to the poem. Cheer up dear Anne.

You describe the angst of ache so poetically here... We have to move one, dont we? We only drown if we stay in the water.... I hope you stay afloat and keep moving on... love the opening lines to this poem... You know wounds do not heal, they become poetry.... love your work.

And I hope you will keep on moving on, it requires strength yes, and its not an easy process but its necessary sometimes, I understand heartbreak and the challenges related to it. I feel your emotions expressed here dear Anne. "Peace palpating through my heart. I move on, I move on and I move on." the best palpitation ever. Pleasure reading you. Sending you light always

Dearest Anne, Your words understand what many adults never learn, that healing is not a straight line but a rhythm a rhythm the body remembers even when the mind forgets. Keep singing your song. It’s becoming clearer, steadier, more wholly yours. With admiration and affection, Blessings Daniel
