I Miss You

I miss you. It's been cold and lonely here. Thinking that you're out there waiting Comes to my eye and becomes a tear. It's been hard. It's been all work, little play. Nobody listens and nobody cares. If I could, I would run away. I would run far away In hopes of running to you, Leaving everything behind. No one left to please, nothing left to do. I wouldn't shake if I was in your arms. I wouldn't cry if I saw you smile. I would be happy and feel safe, But now it seems being scared is more my style. The sun is shining, But I can't tell with shut doors And no more open arms. It feels dark. It feels like hell. But, knowing that you're out there Watching the sunset tonight And thinking of us gives me a little hope. It gives me a little light.
